DISCLAIMER: I, Xaser, claim no credit in writing this program. All work was done originally by Pixel and later by Rxo Inverse. I only translated the program into a convenient English form for us poor speakers of such a wacky language. I also claim no credit in knowing Japanese, either -- I'm quite familiar with the old version of OrgMaker and it didn't take long for me to figure out (most of) the new features. All translation was done by experimentation and comparison to the original. To be honest, I don't know a lick of Japanese aside from the usual "Domo Origato, Mr. Rob*is shot*

For anyone who's familiar with Radical R's translation of the older version of OrgMaker, you'll notice a few differences. Firstly, it's "Transpose", not "Transist" (hehe, made me laugh for one), some familiar commands make more sense now ("Copy Multiple Tracks" now instead of "Copy Setup"), and the translation itself is more complete -- the program title, time signature names, and even "All Files" are in English now. ;P

In addition to translating, there's also one major change from the Japanese edition. For some reason, in the 2.0 release the new drums were mapped to the old drums' slots, thus making all existing .orgs sound very, very off. I took the liberty of switching the drums around so all the new sounds are there but the old ones are still in tact in their original places, thankfully.

And yes, I made the 'sample.org'. Simple but neat. ;P

I won't be giving a full documentation here but the program itself isn't too hard to figure out. Check out the included OrgMaker.txt by Osmose for a few quick pointers -- it's still quite good even though it's a generation old. I will, however, outline a few issues worth drawing attention to:

 - Copy works slightly differently than usual. There's no "Paste" option -- the Copy dialog box requires you to choose a range of notes to copy as well as a point to copy to. It takes a bit of getting used to but it's not that bad afterwards.

 - The QuickSelect toolbar buttons' effects begin on the leftmost side of the piano roll window, not the current point selected. Ditto with the "Quick Copy" command. Make sure to line up the left edge accordingly or else you may wind up overwriting the wrong data. Keep that undo button handy until you get the hang of it.

 - The "Change Defaults" dialog refers to the initial panning/volume used upon creating a note; it has nothing to do with program defaults or anything, so any time you restart the program, these will be reset. If you come up with a setting you like, though, you can use the "Save Settings" command and keep that .pvi file for later use. Handy.

 - You only have one undo level, so if you screw something up, make sure to revert as quickly as possible. Hey, consider yourself lucky. The original OrgMaker didn't have one at all!

 - The "pi" switch under Settings causes said instrument to play only a short 'blip' of sound (staccato, if you will) regardless of note length. I couldn't think of a better description so "pi" stays for now until I hear a better suggestion.

 - There are currently two submenus (under 'Operations') whose use I cannot determine to save my life. If anyone can figure out what these do, please mail me! (See e-mail address at bottom of file)

 - The "Quick Help" is currently still in Japanese. If anyone cares to translate this (or write something like it) I'll do my best to hack it in. :P

 - Does anyone know the real difference between "Open" and "Reopen" in the File menu? They work the same to me...

A few things for Cave Story modders in particular to keep in mind:

 - Generally, .orgs shouldn't be larger, filesize-wise, than the song they're replacing, else crashes may ensue. A bummer, yes, but sadly necessary.
 - Though the new drum sound effects are quite nifty, only the most basic ones are actually supported by Cave Story itself. If you're composing a song for your mod, make sure to limit your drum use to these sounds:
	.Bass01
	.Snare01
	.HiClose
	.HiOpen
	.Crash
	.Tom01
	.Per01

NOTE: The Per01 sound effect is currently incorrect, as I was unable to successfully extract the original one from the old OrgMaker (not .WAV format?). I'll try it again later with a different method and update it when I can.

Now, this translation is mostly complete, but still no cigar. I'm open to any suggestions for improvement or (especially) any info on the non-translated parts (the QuickSelect display, especially). I'm notoriously inconsistent, but I'll try and keep everyone posted whenever any new versions show their faces. If you're in doubt, mail me! I won't bite. :P

Special thanks to Snarwin for discovering the new version, Osmose for inspiring me to do the translation (wince he never did, hehe), and Resource Tuner for making it all possible. ;P
And, of course, to good ol' Pixel for such an awesome game and Rxo Inverse for turning OrgMaker into one slick program. Kudos to both of you!

If you have any questions or comments, find me on the Miraigamer.net forums or e-mail me at Xaser(dot)88(at)gmail(dot)com. I'm not exactly the best when it comes to remembering to check my mail but I'll do my best to help out when I can. When in doubt, ask your heart out! ;P

	Have fun, and happy composing!
